BIOL 432 - Cancer Biology

This course surveys many aspects of cancer biology including, but not limited to, tumor identification, molecular mechanisms of tumorigenesis and tumor progression, history of cancer research, and treatment. Relevant material will be discussed using presentations, discussion groups, writing assignments, case studies, problem solving work, and other methods at the instructor's leisure. This course ties together concepts from cell biology, genetics, and organic chemistry/biochemistry.
