ARTH 261 - Professional Writing in Art

This course focuses on the types of writing commonly used in the visual arts.  The specific art content of the course may vary by semester, but writing such as (but not limited to) visual analyses, critiques, reviews, and research papers will be covered.  There will also be an introduction to some of the critical approaches employed by art historians.  This course is intended for both art majors and non-majors who wish to deepen their awareness and understanding of the visual arts.
