DMS 316 - Sonographic Lab Practice I Credits: 3
This course provides the student with an introduction to the sonography clinical environment through campus laboratory practice. Students will gain an understanding of the daily activities within an ultrasound department, necessary skills to properly operate diagnostic ultrasound equipment, and proper patient care for sonography exams. Emphasis is placed on the application of skills studied in DMS 315 - Abdominal Procedures . The student will achieve an understanding of clinical and practical experience in support of classroom studies. Prereq: DMS 301 or consent of the instructor.
