TouchNet

Through TouchNet, students can view their student billing statement, enroll in a payment plan, and pay their student bill online. Students may also create authorized users who can view their student billing and payment information. To view your TouchNet account, log into MyUSI and click on the TouchNet app.

Billing and Payment Information

At the beginning of each month, students and authorized users will receive an email notification whenever a new billing statement is available. During the fall and spring semesters, students may enroll in one of our interest-free payment plans. Enroll in the payment plan early for smaller, monthly installments each semester. Payment due date for spring 2020 is January 17, 2020. Pay online by Visa, MasterCard, Discover, or American Express (a convenience fee of 2.85 percent of the bill will be charged by TouchNet/Heartland Payment Systems). Pay online by e-check debit to your checking or savings account to avoid paying the convenience fee. Contact the Bursar’s Office with any questions; 812-464-1842 or 800-467-1965 (option #4).

Parking Regulations

The speed limit on campus is 15 miles per hour. Pedestrians have the right-of-way in crosswalks at all times. Housing parking spaces are reserved for residents of that neighborhood (McDonald, O’Daniel, or residence halls); visitors must park in visitor areas only, and only during posted visitation hours. Campus lots have few restrictions, and those areas with restrictions are posted. Parking is allowed in marked spaces only. Parking is NOT allowed on boulevards, roadways, loading zones, within ten (10) feet of fire hydrants, or in other posted restricted zones identified by signs and yellow paint. The full USI Traffic and Parking Regulations are posted at www.usi.edu/public-safety/parking.

A list of vehicle and parking regulations may be found at www.usi.edu/public-safety/parking. If a vehicle is found in violation of any University traffic regulations, the vehicle’s registered owner will be held responsible. The schedule of fines is as follows: parking in an ADA accessible zone, reckless driving, speeding, and other moving violations—$50 each; wheel lock (‘boot’) removal—$40; all other violations—$10 for the first citation, $40 for subsequent violations.

Vehicle Registration

Residents of campus apartments and residence halls are required to register their vehicle and will receive a color-coded parking decal. Campus apartment and residence hall students are restricted to one parking space per resident. Faculty, staff, and commuter students are urged to register their vehicle, but will not have a decal. For online vehicle registration, visit www.usi.edu/public-safety/parking and select Online Vehicle Registration.

Transportation and Parking Fees

Students will be assessed a transportation and parking fee for each semester, according to the number of hours in which they are enrolled: $140 for eight or more hours; $115 for four to seven hours; $85 for one to three hours. This fee will be added to each semester’s tuition bill. Students who are taking only online learning or off-campus courses will not be assessed a transportation and parking fee that semester.

Campus Apartment and Residence Hall Residents

Students living in campus apartment housing (McDonald West and East, O’Daniel North and South complexes) and residence halls will be issued a color-coded parking decal, to be permanently attached and displayed on the rear window of the vehicle. Apartment residents may park only in the area designated for their decal. This restriction includes visitor parking areas. Apartment and residence hall residents are allowed only one decal at a time. Apartment residents and residence hall residents are not permitted to park in campus lots between 7:30 a.m. and 3 p.m. on class days. Shuttle buses make regular rounds from the housing areas to the main campus during the normal school year.

Faculty, Staff, and Commuter Students

Faculty, staff, and commuter students will not have a parking decal and are allowed to park in all campus lots, except where restricted by signage.

Damaged or Stolen Parking Decals

If your parking decal is stolen or becomes damaged, notify the USI Parking office immediately. A fee may be assessed for replacement.

Disability Parking

State-issued disability parking placards, license plates, and University temporary disability permits will be honored in all University parking lots.
