ARTH 222 - Art History IICredits: 3 A survey of the history of primarily Western art and architecture from the Renaissance to the Modern and Contemporary periods. One focus of this course will be to view and interpret artworks as products of their historical and cultural contexts. Another focus will be to examine the roots and development of the particularly modern aesthetic impulse of art as self-expression.
