GNDR 222 - The Body in Art and Culture

This course provides students with an interdisciplinary way of looking at power, privilege, and identity, among other ideas, through various cultural, gendered, and racialized constructions of the physical body.  This course will use a variety of readings and films about international body art practices to enhance the student's cultural understanding of the role the body plays in art and culture.
