This course examines the intersections of health, medicine, creativity, and the humanities through the lenses of providers, patients, and the public. Using an interdisciplinary approach that engages with literature, history, philosophy, religion, film studies, gender studies, and the arts, this course explores the practices, values, and experiences of healthcare providers and patients; autonomy, dignity, and justice; illness, disease, and suffering; aging, death, and dying; and religion and spirituality.
