HIST 325 - Introduction to Public History Credits: 3
This course is designed to introduce students to the theory, methods, and practice of history outside the classroom. Students will learn about the storied and controversial history of this field of study, about the relationship between historians, communities, and cultural memory, and about careers in history outside of the academe. Students will also investigate the challenges of historical work in historic sites, museums, archives, online and within other public history settings.
