HIST 397 - Teaching Social Studies Credits: 3
This methods course is designed to develop the skills required of pre-service secondary social studies teachers to be effective educators in a secondary education setting. Balancing theoretical approaches and practical application, the course will introduce students to various methods of planning, applying, and assessing instructional models in the multidisciplinary field of social studies.
Prerequisite(s): ENG 201 ; enrollment is restricted to History majors with Secondary Education Licensure minor and Elementary Education majors pursuing the Social Studies Teaching minor.
