This course provides the foundation for the evidence- based evaluation of health data and elementary concepts of epidemiology. In order to make objective health or administrative decisions, proper interpretation and analysis of information is essential. This course addresses core concepts and terms used in the study of disease and the potential causes of the spread of illness. Specific areas covered include: prospective studies, retrospective studies, odds ratios, risk ratios, and rates.
