SOCW 674 - Psychopharmacology Credits: 3
This course provides an overview of psychopharmacology for clinical addiction professionals. Topics explored include foundation principles of psychopharmacology, and common psychopharmacological interventions for psychiatric and substance use disorders. The course will also explore the role of the interdisciplinary treatment teams, as well as ethical and legal considerations concerning the use of medications in treatment and access to care.
Prerequisite(s): Admission and/or graduation from a CSWE-accredited MSW program, admission to Graduate Studies, and permission from the MSW program
