ENG 319 - Fundamentals of Grant Writing Credits: 3
This course studies the grant-writing process through analysis, research, and practice. Students analyze and critique sample grant proposals and calls for proposals, research organizational and social needs, design a fundable program or project, identify sources of funding, and write a persuasive and rhetorically effective grant proposal. The course emphasizes grant-related research, civic engagement, and ethics of non-profit communication while introducing students to grant writing as a profession.
