RADT 196 - Orientation to Radiologic and Imaging Sciences

This course provides a general overview of imaging sciences history and practice. Students gain a beginning understanding of the value of imaging sciences in a healthcare setting and survey the role of radiologic technologists and diagnostic medical sonographers in a variety of settings. Students will also recognize national and state credentialing requirements, identify professional association functions at all levels, and recognize ARRT and ARDMS standards, ethics, and policies and their effects on practicing imaging science professionals’ conduct and patient treatment.
