HI 304 - Social Media Monitoring in Health Care


Credits: 3

This course gives students an overview on how social media and other emerging communication technologies can connect millions of voices to increase the timely dissemination and potential impact of health and safety information, leverage audience networks to facilitate information sharing, facilitate interactive communication, connection and public engagement, and empower people to make safer and healthier decisions. Students will also learn how monitoring social media for real-time event information and mining that information can be used to improve health.
