EDUC 313 - Advanced Studies in Children’s Literature Credits: 3
Candidates will synthesize their foundational knowledge of children’s trade books, pedagogy, and technology to create a learning environment that fosters and supports P-6 students’ motivation and achievement in reading. Print and digital materials will be used to make connections across content areas and with the world beyond school.
Prerequisite(s): ENG 201 (grade of C or better) and EDUC 203 (grade of C or better) and EDUC 242 (grade of C or better ) or EDUC 292 (grade of C or better); sophomore standing. Restricted to Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, or Special Education majors. Formal admission to Teacher Education is required prior to registration.
