CMST 433 - Philosophy of Communication Credits: 3
Study of the philosophical theories and models utilized in the human sciences to analyze, describe and interpret human communication as a paradigm of expression and perception. Emphasis on the nature of persons, consciousness and social exchange as discussed in classical rhetoric, the British analytic school and continental thought, including such topics as structuralism, conceptual analysis, phenomenology, semiotics and hermeneutics.
