World Languages and Cultures Teaching Major

The World Languages and Cultures Teaching major is an all-grade teaching major (grades P-12). Students select one of three concentrations: French, German, or Spanish. Students must also compete the P-12 Education Licensure minor.

Teaching Major Grade and GPA Requirement

Students completing this teaching major must earn a grade of A in SPAN 307, at least a 2.75 cumulative GPA, a 2.75 major GPA, and a grade of C or better in all courses applied toward degree requirements.

World Languages and Cultures majors may opt for an additional concentration in Language and International Trade. This concentration combines the study of a non-English modern or classical language (French, German, or Spanish) with a business core, culminating in an internship in an international business or organization.
