English Major, Creative Writing Emphasis, B.A./B.S.College of Liberal Arts >> English 42 hours; 2.0 major GPA required Creative writing programs at the University of Southern Indiana provide focused coursework for students interested in writing poetry, fiction, creative non-fiction, pllaywriting and screen writing. Creative writing faculty are published writers committed to undergraduate writing excellence and their craft. Creative writing students and faculty form an exciting leterary community, which offers many opportunities to get involved, like the Student Writers Union, FishHook (a student literary magazine), Southern Indiana Review (a national bi-annual literary journal) and the Southern Indiana Reading Series. The English department offers a major in English with a creative writing emphasis as well as a minor in Creative Writing. |
