Social Services Designee Certificate Kinney College of Nursing and Health Professions >> Health Administration and Community Health department 15 hours In the Social Services Designee certificate program, students will gain knowledge and understanding of the role of social services within long-term care. They will learn about aging and the purpose and function of social services, including regulation and processes applicable to the long-term care sector. This certificate can be obtained in conjunction with any field of study at USI. As per the Indiana Department Health regulations, 48 hours of instruction are required for the Social Services Designee certification, and this is accomplished through five courses.
Undergraduate Certificate Requirements Credit hours earned for a certificate may be applied toward another degree program. A minimum of 6 credit hours toward the certificate must be completed at the University. Coursework taken more than 4 years before the certificate is awarded may not be applied toward certificate requirements. Students earning an undergraduate certificate are not eligible to participate in commencement exercises, but the credential will be added to their official transcript record.
