The post-baccalaureate certification program in computer information systems will enable persons with a degree in another academic discipline to achieve a working competency in computer information systems. The program is appropriate for students who wish to gain a conceptual knowledge of information systems and the skills needed to become a programmer, systems analyst, or information manager. Successful achievement of the course work in the program will prepare students to sit for the Certified Computer Professional Examination sponsored by the Institute for the Certification of Computer Professionals. Certificate students must maintain a minimum 3.0 GPA in USI coursework needed for the certificate; a grade of C or better is required in each course. At least 12 of the 18 hours must be completed in residence.
