History Teaching (optional)

For students seeking licensure to teach history (5-12), the optional History Teaching emphasis identifes courses of greatest benefit. Students completing a teaching major must earn at least a 2.75 cumulative GPA, a 2.75 major GPA, a 2.75 GPA in the Secondary Education Licensure minor, and a grade of C or better in all courses applied toward degree requirements.

Secondary Education Licensure Minor

Students seeking a teaching major that leads to licensure as a secondary school teacher (grades 5-12) are required to complete the Secondary Education Licensure Minor .
