30 hours; 2.0 major GPA required
Philosophy provides an excellent field of study for students planning to seek advanced degrees in law, philosophy, theology, politics, and other areas. The critical thinking and communications skills stressed in philosophy are a valuable complement to any career or field of study. Philosophy is an excellent complementary second major (30 credits) or minor (18 credits). Philosophy majors can pursue either a Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Arts degree.
No more than six hours of 100-level or 200-level coursework can be counted toward the major.
