The online certificate program for Teacher License Addition in Exceptional Needs: Mild Intervention is designed to prepare teachers to teach exceptional students with mild disabilities in grades P-12. Upon the completion of the 24 credit hour program and the passage of the required Indiana content licensure test, graduates may be eligible for license addition in Exceptional Needs: Mild Intervention.
Program Admission Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree from a regionally-accredited institution with a cumulative grade-point average of 2.75 or higher
- A valid Indiana teaching license
Program Requirements
- Maintain a 3.0 or higher grade-point average at USI
- Earn a grade C or better in all required courses in the program

Graduate Certificate Requirements
- Credit hours earned for a certificate may be applied toward another degree program.
- Coursework taken more than 7 years before the certificate is awarded may not be applied toward certificate requirements.
- Students earning a graduate certificate are not eligible to participate in commencement exercises, but the credential will be added to their official transcript record.
