The Master of Business Administration (MBA) program helps working professionals strengthen strategic, behavioral, and technical skills needed in dynamic business environments. USI’s MBA program is AACSB accredited, which places it in the top 6% of business programs worldwide. Multiple concentrations are available and the degree can be completed in as little as 1 year. The program is offered fully online or with a mixture of online and on-campus classes, with six start dates offered each year.

Students interested in the Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree should review the Romain College of Business - Dean’s Office section of the bulletin for information about MBA program objectives, accreditation, admission requirements, minimum grade and GPA requirements, program flexibility, and more. MBA Core (21 hours)
The MBA curriculum is designed to provide the educational foundation crucial for success in today’s dynamic business world. All students must complete the MBA core. MBA Concentrations (9 hours)
The MBA program offers multiple concentrations and students must complete at least one concentration (9 hours). Students may choose to complete more than one concentration, as long as there are at least 6 unique hours. Only one MBA degree will be awarded (once the MBA core and the first concentration are complete). Any additional concentrations can be added to the student’s academic transcript upon completion. The Accounting concentration prepares leaders to understand accounting concepts, use accounting tools, interpret financial statements, conduct an internal audit, and examine current regulation and compliance issues related to accounting. The Accounting concentration is not designed to prepare students to pass the CPA examination. Artificial Intelligence Concentration
As businesses increasingly integrate artificial intelligence (AI), there is a growing demand for leaders who understand both business strategy and AI technology. The AI concentration equips MBA graduates with the knowledge to bridge this gap and lead digital transformation efforts effectively. The AI concentration provides a unique combination of business acumen and technical knowledge. This cross-disciplinary expertise is highly valuable for companies seeking leaders who can manage both the strategic and technological aspects of AI implementations. Data Analytics Concentration
The Data Analytics concentration develops vital quantitative problem-solving skills for business operations. Open doors to rewarding career opportunities with in-demand skills collecting, processing, and displaying actionable data to drive informed decisions in innovative ways. Engineering Management Concentration
Uniquely designed for the business management needs of the working engineer, the Engineering Management concentration prepares students for leadership roles in technology, manufacturing, construction, research and development, or industrial management. Students gain the knowledge they need to take the lead in project management, quality control and supply chain distribution. Healthcare Administration Concentration
The Healthcare Administration concentration develops business-related competencies necessary for effective operation of healthcare organizations. Specifically, this concentration teaches analytical skills used across all levels of health care units to manage risk, make data-driven decisions, and set organizational strategy. Human Resources Concentration
The Human Resource Management concentration develops the expert knowledge and organizational strategies needed to manage the most valuable asset in any business—its people. Specifically, this concentration develops skills relevant to human resource managers such as making data-driven decisions, complying with legal regulations, and managing human capital effectively. Marketing Concentration
The Marketing concentration develops strategic and tactical marketing expertise through focus on digital marketing, applications of consumer behavior models, and advanced analytical techniques. Students in the Marketing concentration will gain the knowledge and skills necessary to grow brands, build stronger customer relationships, grow revenue, and become effective marketing leaders in any organization. Project Management Concentration
The Project Management Concentration prepares students to take the Project Management Institute’s Project Management Certification test which will give our students a marketable skill. Supply Chain Management Concentration
The Supply Chain Management concentration prepares students to manage the strategic and operational elements of supply chains in the interconnected marketplace. The content of effective Supply Chain Management practices will be integrated with cutting-edge techniques to develop skills for real-world applications. Traditional MBA Concentration
The Traditional concentration develops skills in data-driven decision making and is designed to allow students to customize the program to their area of interest. Specifically, one course in data-driven decision making is required and students can choose two non-core courses from other USI MBA concentrations to fulfill the concentration requirements. |
