The Master of Science in Education – Kinesiology, Health, and Sport track is designed to prepare students for careers in areas of health education, physical education, and coaching. The program of study follows the specifications outlined in the MSE curriculum with 15 credit hours from the Teacher Education department and 18 credit hours from the Kinesiology and Sport department. An interview with the Chair of the Kinesiology and Sport department is required for admission to this track.

Advanced Instruction and Curriculum Theory (18 hours)
Select six courses from the Kinesiology and Sport department designed to meet the advanced instruction and curriculum theory requirements - 18 credit hours from among:
Human Development and Social Foundations (6 hours)
Select two courses from the Teacher Education department designed to meet the human development and social foundations requirements – 6 hours
Research Sequence (9 hours)
All MSE students must complete the research sequence requirement – 9 hours. (Note these courses must be taken at USI. Transfer courses will not be accepted for these courses.)
