CMST 286 - Visual Rhetoric and Culture

This course is designed to introduce a variety of concepts, theories, and applications of visual rhetoric. Advances in communication technology have resulted in new and more accessible means for creating and distributing images. This course will explore the role of visual images in U.S. culture, specifically the ways in which images function persuasively. By the end of the course, students are expected to gain a better understanding of how images and audience communicatively co-construct meanings.
