SOCW 401 - Social Work Practicum I Credits: 3
An experiential, on-site supervised learning opportunity consisting of a minimum of 150 contact hours per semester or approximately 12 hours per week in a local social service agency approved by the director of field in the Social Work Department. The student will be exposed to the actual skills and behavior of the professionals in social work and will have the opportunity of testing newly formed values and knowledge. Open to social work majors only. Meets The University Core Curriculum D1: Synthesis category. Prerequisite(s): Senior standing and consent of the director of field.
