EDUC 196 - Explorations in Reflective Teaching

The exploratory course is designed as an elective for students considering teaching as a profession. Students will be introduced to the profession of teaching and to the philosophical foundation for teacher education at USI – the Reflective Teacher Model. The course examines the nature and functions of schools and the ways that teachers’ beliefs influence educational outcomes by helping to shape classroom life. Service learning project required.
