NUTR 486 - Medical Nutrition Therapy II

This course focuses on understanding the diseases that are modifiable by medical nutrition therapy (MNT). The nutrition care process and MNT of liver, respiratory, gastrointestinal, cancer, and other metabolic diseases across the lifespan will be covered. The role of genetics in nutrition will be covered. The pathophysiology, dietary treatments, and evidence supporting MNT will be discussed. Prerequisite(s): NUTR 376 BIOL 122  and NUTR 485 .
