DMS 326 - Sonographic Lab Practice II


Credits: 2

This course provides the student with continued preparation in the sonography clinical environment through campus laboratory practice. Students will continue to build on skills introduced in DMS 316  by gaining an understanding of the daily activities within an ultrasound department, necessary skills needed to properly operate diagnostic ultrasound equipment, and proper patient care for sonography exams. Emphasis is placed on the application of skills studied in DMS 323 - Obstetric Procedures  and DMS 324 - Gynecology Procedures . The student will achieve an understanding of clinical and practical experience in support of classroom studies. Prerequisite(s): DMS 316  or consent of the instructor.
