CHEM 361 - Survey of Physical Chemistry


Credits: 4

Coverage includes selected topics from applied chemical thermodynamics, kinetics, statistical mechanics and quantum mechanics. Required expressions are developed from fundamental principles utilizing calculus. A laboratory experience providing exercises in thermodynamics, kinetics, and spectroscopy is included. Biological applications are explored in lecture and laboratory when appropriate. Prerequisite(s): MATH 230 , PHYS 176  (or PHYS 206 ), and CHEM 321 .
