PHYS 101 - Introduction to the Physical Sciences

Credits: 3

Lectures and demonstrations of physics at a primarily conceptual level. Basic problem solving and the scientific method are introduced. Topics covered include Newton’s Laws, energy, momentum, light, electricity, magnetism, thermodynamics, fluids, and selected topics from modern physics. Meets The University Core Curriculum  C3: Science category. Lecture-Lab (ex: 3-1 means 3 hrs lecture and 1 hr lab): (3-0) This course is part of the Core Transfer Library (CTL).
