ENGR 427 - Geotechnical Engineering Design Credits: 3
Topics that will be studied include bearing capacity, isolated and combined footing design, lateral earth pressure, retaining wall design, pile and pier design, slope stability, and design of foundations for seismicity. Professional and ethical responsibility and legal ramifications of design problems also will be considered. Prerequisite(s): ENGR 321 and ENGR 422 .
