SPTM 691 - Managing Sport Organizations Credits: 3
This course uses the four management functions of planning, organizing, leading, and controlling to teach students how to become strong leaders and managers in the world of sport. Students will learn how to develop a dynamic organizational culture through recruiting, selecting, orientating, training, evaluating and rewarding sport personnel. In addition, students will gain a solid understanding of the theoretical foundations of leadership in sport and how it is applied to sport-related organizations of all types and sizes.
Prerequisite(s): Admission to the Master of Science Sport Management program
