MATH 223 - Mathematics for Elementary Teachers II Credits: 3
This course is the second in a three-course sequence designed to enhance the conceptual understanding and processes of the common content in elementary mathematics curricula. Topics include proportional reasoning, algebraic reasoning, data analysis, statistics and probability. The use of manipulatives and technology will support learning and teaching of the topics studied. Enrollment is only open to students seeking a degree in education or a related degree.
Prerequisite(s): MATH 103 (grade of C or better) and a major in Elementary Education, Early Childhood Education, or Special Education. (Students in these Pre-majors are also permitted.)
