NRSG 623 - Advanced Health Assessment for the APRN

This course provides an in-depth examination of advanced health assessment principles, including comprehensive history taking, physical examination techniques, developmental screening, and clinical reasoning across the lifespan. Using a competency-based approach, students will integrate advanced assessment techniques with diagnostic reasoning to support accurate nursing and medical diagnoses. Through interactive learning, case-based applications, and simulation, students will refine their ability to conduct systematic patient evaluations, interpret clinical findings, and apply evidence-based decision-making to diverse patient populations. The course fosters critical thinking and diagnostic proficiency, preparing students for advanced nursing practice in various healthcare settings.
