Health Administration and Community Health department


The Health Administration and Community Health department offers majors in Community and Public Health and Health Administration, as well as two certificate programs and four minors.

The Bachelor of Science in Community and Public Health provides the knowledge and skills needed to address health challenges, promote wellness, and improve quality of life across the lifespan through education, advocacy, and evidence-based practices. Graduates are prepared for careers in public health organizations, community health initiatives, and government agencies, focusing on prevention, policy, and creating healthier communities for all ages.

The Bachelor of Science in Health Administration provides a strong foundation in healthcare management, policy, and operations, equipping students with the skills needed to excel in administrative roles across hospitals, clinics, public health organizations, and other healthcare settings. Students gain expertise in leadership, finance, healthcare law, and organizational strategy to effectively navigate and shape the future of healthcare delivery.

Health Administration and Community Health Minor Restrictions

The only health-related minor Community and Public Health majors can pursue is the Health Administration minor.

Health Administration majors may pursue any of the following health-related minors: Health Promotion and Wellness, Interdisciplinary Gerontology, or Public Health.

All other majors may pursue any of the following health-related minors: Health Administration, Health Promotion and Wellness, Interdisciplinary Gerontology, or Public Health.
