Teaching Major Grade & GPA Requirement
Students completing a teaching major must earn at least a 2.75 cumulative GPA, a 2.75 major GPA, and a grade of C or better in all courses applied toward degree requirements. Early Childhood Education
The University of Southern Indiana offers both bachelor’s and associate’s degree programs to prepare teachers of young children. Early Childhood Education – Bachelor of Science/Bachelor of Arts Degree Requirements
The student who desires to become a licensed early childhood teacher will complete the following minimum course of study that leads to a Bachelor of Science degree and the Indiana teaching license in the areas of (1) preschool and (2) elementary-primary (grades K-3). A Bachelor of Arts degree may be earned when the appropriate amount of credit in a foreign language is earned. Early Childhood Education University Core Curriculum Requirements
