POLS 487 - Government and Politics of Communist and Post-Communist States

Credits: 3

Government and politics of Communist and Post- Communist states, with special emphasis on Russia and China. Students will learn about the development of the socialist theory, the reality of life in communist countries, the collapse of Communism, and current issues, such as political and economic reform, corruption, and ethnic conflict. Prereq: one political science course or consent of instructor.
