ENGR 290 - High Altitude Ballooning


Credits: 1

Participation in an end-to-end engineering project as part of a team to prepare, launch, track, and recover a high-altitude helium-filled weather balloon which will carry a number of devices and experiments. Each student will be expected to contribute to at least one device or experiment, and to participate in other aspects of the pre-flight and post-flight experience. Oral presentations will be required pre-flight and post-flight. Prereq: Consent of instructor. (1-1)
