TECH 411 - Materials

Credits: 3

Fundamental structures comprising the principal families of materials – metals, ceramics, and polymers; and how structures influence the properties of strength, hardness, heat treatment, plasticity, fatigue, creep, wear, etc. Experiments in the laboratory will demonstrate structure-property relationships. Prereq: CHEM 175  and PHYS 176 . (2-3)
