IM 625 - Principles of Computer-Aided Design and Manufacturing

Theory and practice in the operation of several micro and mini computer-based CAD systems for the generation of engineering documentation. Generation of symbols and shape descriptions using geometric primitives in both two- and three-dimensional systems. Discusses the application of CAD to manufacturing and the management problems associated with CAD technology. Prereq: TECH 121  - Engineering Modeling and Documentation or equivalent experience. Three hours lecture.
