BIOL 133 - Biological Concepts Credits: 4
This lecture/laboratory course will cover biological concepts in the context of current issues in biology. Students will become more familiar with the scientific method as it applies to biology. Topics to be covered include: science and ethics; evolution and biodiversity; ecology; genetics and cellular biology. The lab will reinforce concepts from lecture. The course will not apply toward a major or minor in biology. Prereq: ENG 100 or placement in ENG 101 , MATH 100 or Math placement in 111, and GENS 099 or GENS 151 or reading optional, not required.
